Sherry brings over 30 years of experience in Education and Special Education leadership to her work as a NeuroEducational ADHD coach and educational consultant specializing in learning strategies.

A former school Principal, Special Education teacher, and French Immersion educator, Sherry has spent her career helping individuals and families understand learning differences and build effective strategies for success.

Sherry holds a PhD in Special Education from the University of Arizona, along with multiple degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland including a Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology that informs her commitment to evidence-based practice. She is currently completing the ADDCA ADHD Coaching Program based in New York offering  ADHD support for clients including professionals, post secondary students, youth, educators and those diagnosed later in life. ADDCA is considered the gold standard for ADHD coaching in the world and is certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Professional Association of ADHD Coaches (PAAC). 

Sherry has a special interest in advocating for individuals affected by neurodiversity helping them navigate educational supports, workplace accommodations and systems that often overlook neurodivergent needs. 

Rhonda has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelor's  degree in Primary/Elementary Education from Memorial University.  She is a Canadian Certified Counselor (CCC) and has additional training in trauma, attachment theory, ADHD (Certified Clinical Service Provider), mental health first aid and emotional regulation. Additionally,  Rhonda is trained in various therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. She has also facilitated groups and workshops in the areas of social emotional learning, parenting, bullying, and stress management. 

 

Drawing from over 25 years of experience as a school counsellor, Rhonda's goal is always to create safe and nurturing environments, empowering individuals to express their emotions, to build resilience and to learn new skills to make meaningful changes in their lives.

 

Working in the school system Rhonda has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families navigating learning, emotional and behavioral concerns. This experience positions her well to select an approach that best fits the individual whether that looks like assessing, and/or teaching psychoeducational skills or using evidence based counselling theories and techniques to support individuals facing a range of emotional and mental health challenges. 

 

Rhonda brings a non-judgemental, client centered approach to her counselling practice. She believes strongly in helping individuals increase their awareness of themselves as individuals, while opening up to both acceptance and change.

Michael has been a proud member of the counselling profession for over twenty-five years. Michael holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology. He is a former executive member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Counsellors' and Psychologists' Association (NLCPA) and is a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Michael has also worked as a Program Specialist with the Department of Education and as a Faculty Per Course Instructor in the Graduate Program in Counselling at Acadia University.

Michael has a special interest in assisting high-school students transition to post secondary environments inspired by his time spent in his role as a high-school counsellor.
